nativity-sceneJ.I. Packer once wrote, ā€œThe Almighty appeared on earth as a helpless human baby, needing to be fed and changed and taught to talk like any other child. The more you think about it, the more staggering it gets. Nothing in fiction is so fantastic as this truth of the Incarnation.”

It is true. Ā The Incarnation is amazing when you stop and consider it. Ā The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Ā God the Son, the co-Creator of the universe, humbled Himself, the Bible says, by taking the form of a servant in the likeness of men. Ā Not as a conquering King, but a lowly son of a carpenter from a indistinct town named Nazareth. Ā He came as a baby born to die, fashioned for a Roman cross.
