Today, Governor Mike Huckabee spoke at the Iowa Freedom Summit at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, IA.

This was the same location, prior to the 2012 Iowa Caucus, he hosted a pro-life rally along with the premiere of his movie The Gift of Life.  Today, he addressed the limits of the Federal Government, specifically the Supreme Court.

He reiterated his long held position that the Federal government should have no role in educationbecause the 10th Amendment says that the Feds are limited by what is in the Constitution – and that says nothing about Education. (In 2011, Governor Huckabee assured this author that he would abolish the Department of Education if a bill to do so were presented to him.)  He also spoke supporting our soldiers in the military, and the need for a president to recognize Islamic Jihad as our enemy.
