Last Thursday marked 42 years of legalized abortion in the United States as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court decision known as Roe v. Wade. As a result an estimated 600,000 people marched on the National Mall in Washington D.C. to have their voices heard and demand an end to abortion in our country. This weekend, those in Siouxland will have a chance to do have their voices heard as well.  Rick Santorum will join with Siouxlanders as an honorary guest for the 4th Annual Siouxland Rally for Life tomorrow, Sunday January 25th in Sioux City, IA.

The 4th Annual Siouxland Rally for Life will be held at Cornerstone World Outreach (1625 Glen Ellen Rd.) in Sioux City, IA at 3:00 p.m. This event will serve as a forum for those of the pro-life belief to gather and show the Siouxland community they will not end until abortion has ended in their communities.

Along with Santorum the Rally for Life will include many speakers.  Hannah Stouffer, a young woman from Des Moines, who was adopted and will share her testimony of hope and redemption. A Siouxland favorite, Sam Clovis, former candidate for U.S. Senate and State Treasurer will also speak. Carl Christiansen, founder of the non-profit Beauty Amidst the Ashes, will also join the speaking line-up.

Sue Thayer, a former clinic director of nearly eighteen years for Planned Parenthood in Storm Lake, IA will be the keynote speaker. Sue was fired in 2008 for whistleblowing concerns over the practice of webcam abortions. Today, Sue is a tireless pro-life activist and has been a foster parent to over 130 children over the past 26 years and has adopted three children of her own.

This event is open to the public and everyone in the Siouxland area is encouraged to attend. For more information please call the Event Organizer, Jake Dagel at 712-635-8911 or visit the Siouxland Rally for Life Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/SiouxlandRallyForLife
