U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) jumped into the 2016 race with both feet last night with a single tweet shortly before midnight.

Cruz is the first to officially announce his candidacy.  Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) have launched exploratory committees first.  He will formally announce today during a speech this morning at Liberty University in Lynchberg, VA.  His campaign website was launched that you can see here.
