Des Moines, Iowa – Following a successful forum in New Hampshire last November, American Principles Project is moving on to Iowa to host its second “Practical Federalism Forum” on May 16th.

This event will feature experts from across the country on a variety of issues and will highlight how federal government overreach works, how the Framers believed that state elected officials must guard against federal intrusion, and how the federal government undermines that duty. Speakers are still being finalized, but invitations are being sent to activists and elected officials from across the nation.

WHAT: American Principles Project’s 2nd “Practical Federalism Forum”

WHERE: The Iowa Events Center, 233 Center St, Des Moines, Iowa

WHEN: Saturday, May 16th, 2015 9:00am3:00pm

“Our last event in New Hampshire was a huge success and worked to educate and energize the base,” said Emmett McGroarty, Director of Education for American Principles Project. “We are looking forward to using this event in Iowa to make an even bigger splash, especially as the discussion surrounding the presidential election heats up.”

McGroarty continued, “This is an opportunity to engage with Iowa’s activists and hear from numerous experts. This is going to be a powerful event.”
