IMG_0782(Des Moines, IA) Real estate mogul and TV personality Donald Trump held his first campaign rally in Iowa Tuesday night after announcing his candidacy for President that morning.  Iowans packed the lower level of the Hoyt Sherman Place to hear Trump discuss how he would handle ISIS.  Trump was over an hour late for his event, but it didn’t appear to phase the crowd gathered.

Trump’s campaign theme is “Make America great again,” and he said it is politicians who are destroying America.  He noted that he is disappointed more with Republicans who lack backbone than he is Democrats.

Trump discussed ISIS saying that he would order the four or five primary oil hubs in Iraq to be bombed in order to stem the source of the terrorist group’s wealth.  He also discussed immigration saying that he would build the wall on the southern border and he’d get Mexico to pay for it citing his ability to negotiate.

He went after Jeb Bush for his support of Common Core and also challenged Bush and Marco Rubio on their immigration positions.

Trump took questions at the end of his speech and appeared to be well received by the hundreds of Iowans present.
