The Obama Administration came out in defense of Planned Parenthood. White House spokesperson Josh Earnest said that “extremists” have “selectively edited” the videos that show Planned Parenthood’s involvement in harvesting fetal tissue, allegedly for profit. Earnest also said that wasn’t any evidence saying that Planned Parenthood have not lived up to their ethical standards.
Where are they getting such information? One reporter asked Earnest that very question during a press briefing on Thursday.
A reporter asked, “Where are you getting your information that (the videos from Center for Medical Progress) are fraudulent or that they are distorted unfairly?”
“Based on the public comments of Planned Parenthood who has indicated that the views represented in the video are entirely inconsistent with this organization’s policy and the high ethical standard that they live up to,” Earnest said.
Oh well, ok then. These videos must be false because Planned Parenthood said so.
A follow-up question from the reporter: “Would it be fair to say that you are taking your talking points entirely from Planned Parenthood on these videos?”
“Well, I guess I would suggest that you consult with Planned Parenthood for the detail of their policies. I’m merely repeating what they’ve said and has been reported publicly that they have said,” Earnest answered. “I’m certainly not the only one to have arrived at this conclusion there are others who have taken a look at those videos and have raised significant doubts about their authenticity based on the way they were edited, and they are certainly aren’t consistent with the frequently stated policies of Planned Parenthood and I think that is why many, many people have looked at this situation and have arrived at the same conclusion and have described the video the same way that I have.”
Earnest couldn’t verify whether or not Planned Parenthood has reached out to the White House, but said he wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
Well this settles it, as if there was any doubt before, the White House is simply the mouth piece of the abortion industry in general, and Planned Parenthood specifically.
