Shane then spoke with Mark Nelson, executive director of Freedom for Youth Ministries, about the work they do with youth in Des Moines and beyond.  They have launched a new venture that will help employ and provide job training for the youth they serve – Freedom Blend Coffee.

Shane and show producer Ron Carlson discussed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s sudden departure from the Speaker of the House race.  Also they discussed a push to compel CNBC to allow Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal on the main debate stage in the next debate.  Also, the State Department claims that Russia’s involvement in Syria is a sign of success for President Obama’s policy there. Then President Obama said the Oregon shooting needs to be “politicized.”
