Brian Myers and Shane Vander Hart discuss the GOP debate that took place this week, hosted by CNN. Who won? Was it a helpful debate? Did CNN redeem themselves after their last debate?

Anders Lewis, a history teacher and chair of the History Department at the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough, MA, called in to discuss a study he co-wrote called Advanced Civics for History Teachers that was recently released by the Pioneer Institute in Boston, MA. Should students be mandated to pass a U.S. History assessment before they graduate from high school?

The guys discuss the budget deal struck by Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) who is starting to look a lot like the previous Speaker even with the beard. The Federal Reserve finally raises interest rates. How would you like your kids singing a Muslim song in school? Also, forget the 10,000 Syrian refugees the Obama administration wants to let into the United States when 100,000 have already come into the United States since 2012.  Don’t worry though, President Obama said there was no credible terror threat.
