(Des Moines, IA) Former Arkansas Governor and 2008 Iowa Caucus winner Mike Huckabee discussed what the impact the lack of media attention has had on his campaign.

Huckabee talking to reporters in the spin room after last night’s Fox News/Google GOP Presidential Undercard Debate said, “Why don’t you get me on Fox News, and I love Fox, but you give me as much helium in my balloon as you have given Donald Trump over the last year I’d be leading in the polls.”

Huckabee then takes a thinly-veiled shot at U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).

“So I can’t help how much attention my message is getting. All I can do is deliver it consistently and that’s what I have done. I have delivered it consistently whether I was on Bill Maher’s show or Jon Stewart and the Daily Show or Stephen Colbert. I don’t say something different, but because I don’t say something different and pitch to an audience and I don’t get the big corporate cash out of New York and I don’t rake it in from Goldman Sachs and Citibank and billionaires. Look, I don’t have the same kind of money to blow it up and I’ve got to depend on a media that presents it all fairly, and quite frankly I’ve not always had the same amount of air time and that makes it difficult to get the message out there.”
