Donald Trump gave a charitable concession speech last night after Ted Cruz was declared the winner of the Iowa Caucuses.

What happened today on Twitter not so much.

The first couple of tweets was fine, but it went downhill from there.

I guess Iowans don’t believe the only people who are qualified to run for President are ones who can self-fund their campaigns. Maybe if you actually had depth as a candidate, didn’t act like a juvenile, and had an actual ground game you would have done better.

He ran a horrible campaign bolstered by free media attention and skewed polls, but hey yeah, blame the voters.

  1. The media “has not covered” Trump?! Give me a break. You nailed an important point when you cited all the free media he continues to garner, from legacy media as well as newer sources. As I write this at 4 p.m. ET the day after the Iowa caucuses, people are already lined up for tonight’s Trump appearance near my New Hampshire home, where ex-Sen. Scott Brown is about to endorse him. I’m not sure how much longer he can keep up the poor-me attitude. I don’t know how well it’ll play here. It certainly repels me.

  2. The voters were the reason Iowa went to Cruz. Cruz sent out a letter that alleged voters were in violation of election law and Steve King sent out a tweet 20 minutes into the caucus that said Ben Carson was out and to vote for Cruz. Voters were manipulated by Cruz & King. That is fraud Shane. So your Christian sarcasm is unwarranted. Shame on Shane.

    1. What is Christian sarcasm? I didn’t realize I was being sarcastic? Also I think you need to pick up a dictionary and look up fraud and then read the Iowa Code to see what election misconduct encompasses.

Neither of those activities by the Cruz campaign being reported in the media, which by the way, I’m not a fan of encompasses fraud and neither led to Trump’s loss.

  3. Well say what you want about Donald, but he has never raised my taxes or lied to me in any way! So I’ll gladly stick with Trump. They used to bad mouth Ronald Reagan also…..go figure!!
