Many pundits blame Marco Rubio for the current problems of Ted Cruz. A few blame John Kasich or Chris Christie. Some blame the GOP establishment, while yet others say it is the Fox New Channel.

There is a tendency to blame conservatives candidates for “splitting the vote” We forget that in 2012, several candidates took turns leading the GOP: Michele Bachman, Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, just to name a few., You can hardly blame candidates for thinking they themselves could win. Each thinks he or she is the best candidate.

Perhaps we should put the “blame” where it lies: Ted Cruz. For whatever reason, he was not able to win over a majority of Republicans in this presidential primary season..  If he can’t do that, no one else is to blame.

Finally, we should ultimately “blame” the voters.  The Republican party, rank and file, are apparently not as conservative as we claim.  They don’t care about abortion or homosexual “marriage” as much as we thought. Perhaps any conservative leanings or Christian consensus in the country are now gone, for good.  Of course, the bottom line is that there no such thing as a single “conservative” constituency.

For example, there are many who don’t like those who stand against the GOP establishment, and think Cruz is too strident. Of course, among those who think those things are important, many have chosen Donald Trump.

For the Christian, there is only one to to “blame”, that is. God.  God is about to give us Donald Trump as our candidate in the GOP (And perhaps a “President Trump”}.  We have to ask ourselves the question: “Why”
