Shane Vander Hart was flying solo this week, well sort of, we were able to have more Ron! The Rev. John Chol Daau, author of God’s Refugee: The Story of a Lost Boy Pastor, joined Shane this week on Caffeinated Thoughts Radio. Rev. Daau, a former lost boy during the Sudanese government’s war on Christians in South Sudan, is a priest in the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan, is part of the Archbishop’s task force to bring healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation in South Sudan, and he is the founder of The Good Shepherd Foundation, helping to educate children (Good Shepherd Academy), adults (Good Shepherd College and Seminary), and to train leaders in South Sudan (Good Shepherd Leadership Training Center). He also founded the first Christian newspaper in South Sudan, The Christian Times.
Shane and Ron dived into bathroom talk, North Carolina bathrooms that is, as both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz addressed HB 2 passed in North Carolina to prevent transgendered men from using the women’s facility, etc. One candidate was right on this issue, the other not so much.
Plus, The Weather Channel celebrates Earth Day! The Weather Channel’s founder not so much.
Also there is a Congressional Candidate in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District who believes religious freedom shouldn’t be in the “laws of the land.” Huh?
In the home stretch Team Trump admits it is all an act. The candidates consider their running mates, and can Donald Trump be stopped? We also love who is going to grace the front of the new $20 bill.
