(Houston, TX) Draft Sasse, a Political Action Committee established to recruit and support Senator Ben Sasse in a 3rd party ticket, announced yesterday that due to Donald Trump effectively winning the Republican nomination and the exit of Ted Cruz, they calling on all Americans to chart a new path in national politics.

The Draft Sasse PAC is composed of a collective of diverse Conservatives, Libertarians, Independents and Blue Dog Democrats concerned about the direction of our country and the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump. They, like Senator Sasse, cannot and will not vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

“After Tuesdays shocking Trump victory, it has become painfully clear that principled Americans from across the country are looking for another choice, one rooted in the strong constitutional values that made our country great.” noted PAC Co-chair Daniel Ledoux, “It is now obvious that choice now lies outside the failed traditional two party framework.”

Senator Sasse was one of the first to come out in opposition to a Trump presidency and has correctly identified the fallacy of Donald Trump as a reinvented Conservative. “Senator Sasse, like us are not fooled. We refuse to place the fate of our country into the hands of those with the shady moral character and dubious constitutional understanding of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton,” remarked Ledoux

Speaking regarding the movement, PAC Treasurer Eric Maranga added, “We expect to use our online platforms to gather the support to grow and build this movement. We urge constitutional minded Americans, dissatisfied Independents, Republicans and Democrats to visit our website, sign our petition and follow and engage with us via social media. We invite our friends at the #NEVERTRUMP movement and members of the #CRUZCREW also join us to fight against the clown show brought to us by the failed political establishment.”

The Draft Sasse committee will be led by Eric Maranga, a conservative political strategist from Frederick County, Maryland, and Daniel Ledoux a fellow conservative political strategist from Kingwood, Texas.

We look forward to hearing from the many concerned Americans across the country, so we can draft Senator Ben Sasse to be the true constitutional champion in this Presidential election.
