(Houston, TX) Draft Sasse, a Political Action Committee established to recruit and support Senator Ben Sasse in a 3rd party ticket, announced yesterday that due to Donald Trump effectively winning the Republican nomination and the exit of Ted Cruz, they calling on all Americans to chart a new path in national politics.

The Draft Sasse PAC is composed of a collective of diverse Conservatives, Libertarians, Independents and Blue Dog Democrats concerned about the direction of our country and the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump. They, like Senator Sasse, cannot and will not vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

“After Tuesdays shocking Trump victory, it has become painfully clear that principled Americans from across the country are looking for another choice, one rooted in the strong constitutional values that made our country great.” noted PAC Co-chair Daniel Ledoux, “It is now obvious that choice now lies outside the failed traditional two party framework.”

Senator Sasse was one of the first to come out in opposition to a Trump presidency and has correctly identified the fallacy of Donald Trump as a reinvented Conservative. “Senator Sasse, like us are not fooled. We refuse to place the fate of our country into the hands of those with the shady moral character and dubious constitutional understanding of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton,” remarked Ledoux

Speaking regarding the movement, PAC Treasurer Eric Maranga added, “We expect to use our online platforms to gather the support to grow and build this movement. We urge constitutional minded Americans, dissatisfied Independents, Republicans and Democrats to visit our website, sign our petition and follow and engage with us via social media. We invite our friends at the #NEVERTRUMP movement and members of the #CRUZCREW also join us to fight against the clown show brought to us by the failed political establishment.”

The Draft Sasse committee will be led by Eric Maranga, a conservative political strategist from Frederick County, Maryland, and Daniel Ledoux a fellow conservative political strategist from Kingwood, Texas.

We look forward to hearing from the many concerned Americans across the country, so we can draft Senator Ben Sasse to be the true constitutional champion in this Presidential election.

  1. What happened to all the GOP talking heads complaining about a 3rd party ticket draining from the GOP base and “giving the election to the Democrats”? Oh, how things change in a short time when people don’t get their way. I do love watching this blog to hear all the complaining about Trump. It’s ironic and gives me a smile every time to view this site. What goes around comes around and I’m glad it happened soon enough I can savor the irony.

    1. Well you’ve NEVER heard me complain against Mr. Trump! As a born again, blood washed Christian I’ve always felt he was/is the candidate we have been hoping & praying for!! Talk about an outsider taking on the DC establishment Donald is the man!!

This article was also posted on Lew Rockwell. You are not “Christians” or “Conservatives”…but Neocons. Pay close attention to WHY the American people voted for Donald J. Trump. Trump will win regardless of what you try to do. Yes, I understand Ben Sasse, a freshman senator with only 1+ years, wants to be president. As the article states…..for these people it’s all about being a Neocon. Not a Christian or a conservative.

    1. 1. I don’t really care what Lew Rockwell thinks, I never have. 2. I’m part of the Never Trump movement, and not necessarily on the bandwagon for U.S. Senator Ben Sasse to be president. I find it ironic that you criticize his 1+ years in the Senate when Donald Trump has never had political experience. Let’s not forget that Sasse was a university president so he does have leadership and executive experience.

Regarding your primary point. I’m not a neocon, and most of the people I know who oppose Donald Trump it is about their faith and/or conservative principles which again, Lew Rockwell is in no position to judge.
