Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, was a supporter of eugenics

“[Our objective is] unlimited sexual gratification without the burden of unwanted children… [Women must have the right] to live … to love… to be lazy … to be an unmarried mother … to create… to destroy… The marriage bed is the most degenerative influence in the social order… The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

The quote above sounds like it should come from the villain of some dramatic movie, does it not? Unfortunately, the person who wrote these words created something that any ordinary movie villain would be in awe of, something even Hitler would admire. Her name is Margaret Sanger, and she was the founder of Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood was founded on October 16th, 1916, which makes today its 100 year anniversary. The organization masquerades as a ‘women’s health center’ while being partially taxpayer funded. Every year, they are the country’s largest performer of abortions, killing over 300,000 babies A YEAR. Year after year, they continue to murder thousands upon thousands of Americans who are yet to be born, drastically increasing the number of babies that have been legally slaughtered since Roe v. Wade in 1973.

Which, by the way, is over 58 MILLION.

Over 58 million lives have been slaughtered before they had a chance to breathe a single breath outside of the womb.

Even though Planned Parenthood claims to be a healthcare provider for women, in reality they provide very few services. Although they provide 30% of the country’s abortions, they, for example, perform less than 1% of the country’s pap tests, and less than 2% of the nationwide breast exams. They don’t have equipment for or provide mammograms, and frequently, they don’t even have an actual doctor on site. So, unless you’re coming in for an abortion or birth control, you still have to go to a legitimate health care provider for everything else.

Speaking of legitimate, their use of taxpayer dollars is anything but that. Not only is Planned Parenthood perfectly capable of being self-sufficient, but the way they waste money is monstrous. Their executives have lucrative salaries; President Cecile Richards made more than 2.47 million between 2009 and 2013. They are known to only fly employees on first class, host excessive galas and events, and spend unjustifiable money on office space; their recent purchase of an office located right off of Madison Square Garden cost 24 million dollars. So, not only are they not in need of taxpayer dollars, but this money is also going to support political affiliations and the slaughter of thousands of Americans per year.

Without even delving into their other scandals such as the callous and unapologetic way they discuss abortions, the back door routes they go through to provide abortions to minors, the fact that they only give one adoption referral (meaning that they simply provided somebody with a pamphlet) per every 160 abortions, and their illegal sale of human body parts, it is blindingly obvious that Planned Parenthood is a morally bankrupt organization. It is an organization that should be legally shut down, and that should NEVER receive taxpayer funding. However, I’m sure that if she was alive today, Margaret Sanger would be proud of the mass destruction Planned Parenthood is responsible for.

You see, Margaret Sanger was a supporter of eugenics. The Merriam-Webster definition of eugenics is ‘ a science that deals with the improvement (as by control of human mating) of hereditary qualities of a race or breed’. Sanger thought that the only people who were worth keeping alive were the white and well to-do; she once wrote, “We are paying for, and even submitting to, the dictates of an ever-increasing, unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all.” She is also responsible for writing such lines as, “Birth control must ultimately lead to a cleaner race,” and, “We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

Sanger got her wish. Planned Parenthood is especially effective at targeting the impoverished and minorities. 78% of their clinics are in minority neighborhoods, and black people make up 35% of the abortions in the United States while only being 12% of the total population. She once said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated,” and Planned Parenthood is the fulfillment of this desire.

It should be especially telling that politicians like Hillary Clinton adore Margaret Sanger and her work; Clinton won the Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood in 2009 and said that she was ‘in awe’ of Sanger.

Today, when Planned Parenthood is celebrating 100 years of existence, we are mourning 100 years of moral bankruptcy, of lives being slaughtered. It is crucial that we work to end this horrific organization. Political influence is one of our best tools; it is up to us to speak up for the unborn, and work to defund Planned Parenthood and make abortions a thing of the past. Contact your representation, continually speak up, and never be silenced.

Over 58 million Americans and counting have been slaughtered in this gruesome war on unborn babies.

How much more shed blood will it take to move us to action?
