Shane and Brian getting ready for another hour of broadcast excellence.

*Editor’s note: Sorry about the delay putting the podcast up. We didn’t receive the media file until Monday morning.*

On our Caffeinated Thoughts Radio show Shane Vander Hart and Brian Myers discuss President Donald Trump’s choice for the Supreme Court, Judge Neal Gorsuch, with former U.S. Attorney Matt Whitaker. The guys also discussed President Trump’s recent executive order impacting refugees with Whitaker.

Shane and Brian then discuss the Iowa Senate’s recent floor debate and vote in favor of Senate File 2 which reallocate state taxpayer funding away from abortion providers to federally qualified health centers and family planning organizations who do not provide abortion services. The bill is expected to pass the Iowa House and that Governor Terry Branstad will sign it into law.

Plus, the U.S. House of Representatives vote to overturn an Obama gun rule. Also Donald Trump vows to make good on his promise to let churches engage in politics. Betsy DeVos’ nomination as Secretary of Education is jeopardy if one more Republican flips before the final confirmation vote on Monday. Then the Trump Administration says that starting new or expanding Israeli settlements in the West Bank “may not be helpful for peace.”

All of that plus a new feature this week – the top Trump tweet of the week… So many to choose from!
