This week on Caffeinated Thoughts Radio our guests were Gina Dalfonzo and Joy Pullmann.

In the first segment, Shane Vander Hart and Brian Myers spoke to Dalfonzo, who is the editor of BreakPoint.org, about her new book, One by One: Welcoming the Singles In Your Church. They discussed mixed messages the Church sends singles, how the courtship culture made it difficult for singles, and what the Church can do to change.

In the second segment, Pullmann, who is the managing editor for The Federalist and an education research fellow for The Heartland Institute, discussed her new book, Education Invasion: How Common Core Fights Parents for Control of American Children. She discussed how Common Core was introduced into American schools and what she learned by observing schools that implemented it early.

In the third segment the guys discuss Defense Secretary James Mattis’ decision to delay allowing transgendered persons into the military. Also CNN doxes an anonymous Reddit user over a silly meme. Then, our federal yearly spending will top $4 Trillion for the first time.

Then our “You can’t make this stuff up” feature returns and of course we have our Top Trump Tweet of the Week segment. Which tweet did we choose?

You can always watch us on live on Facebook when we record (starting around 10:10a on Friday mornings). We are not embedding the video this week because of some audio issues we had during the first segment (Shane forgot to plug in the audio line into the iPad).
