Watching the White House right now is like watching a dumpster fire. It’s captivating, but it stinks. In his desire to get out from under the Russia narrative President Donald Trump has done more to fuel its fire.
He is simply his own worst enemy. Nothing good will come out of his treatment of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
His comments on Twitter directed at Sessions has been outrageous, even more so when you consider he was the only Senator to endorse him before he clinched the nomination and has been loyal since. If this is how President Trump treats people who are loyal how will he treat anyone else?
So many people are asking why isn't the A.G. or Special Council looking at the many Hillary Clinton or Comey crimes. 33,000 e-mails deleted?

His antics on Twitter were already bad, but this is downright embarrassing and unprofessional.
Erick Erickson reports that several cabinet members are perturbed by Trump’s behavior and frankly I don’t blame them.
āIf he can get treated that way, what about the rest of us?ā one of the Presidentās Cabinet secretaries asked me with both shock and anger in his voice. I am told reports about Rex Tillerson (not who I talked to) are legitimate. He is quite perturbed with the Presidentās treatment of his Attorney General and is ready to quit. Secretary Mattis (also not who I talked to) is also bothered by it. They and other Cabinet members are already frustrated by the slow pace of appointments for their staffs, the vetoes over qualified people for not being sufficiently pro-Trump, and the Senate confirmation pace.
In fact, the Cabinet secretary I talked to raised the issue of the White House staff vetoes over loyalty, blasting the White House staff for blocking qualified people of like mind because they were not pro-Trump and now the President is ready to fire the most loyal of all the Cabinet members. āItās more of a clusterf**k than you even know,ā the Cabinet secretary tells me about dealing with the White House on policy. It is not just Tillerson ready to bail.
Last night when Erickson tweeted out about this, I thought for sure he talked to Defense Secretary Mattis.

In the meantime, Sessions is just getting angry and resolved not to quit. So he’s going to make Trump outright fire him instead of just hinting at it.
Then after White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned in protestĀ you have Anthony Scaramucci, the new communications director (still now sure how he is qualified for this job), threatening to fire everyone inside the communications team to stop the leaks. He’s making an assumption the leaks are coming from his “team.”
Trump can ultimately take the blame for the leaks, but he won’t.
Trumpās āleadershipā as a boss has created a White House that is notorious for its leaks, and for the way it constantly emits the stink of demoralization. Almost every story about dysfunction in the White House in the New York Times or the Washington Post is verified by so many anonymous sources close to the president that reporters are counting them by ādozensā now. Perhaps soon weāll move on to āscoresā of White House stool pigeons.
In the meantime, the dumpster burns and we all stand transfixed. Gee, I wonder who could have seen this coming?
