The big news coming out of the state of Michigan in the past week is that Kid Rock is NOT going to run for U.S. Senate. “F–k no, I’m not running for Senate,” was his official statement-surprise surprise.

Kid Rock may be out, but thankfully for Michigan and conservatives everywhere, John James is definitely IN.

A combat veteran and businessman located in the Detroit area, John James is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, and pro-business. James is a husband, father, and Christian, emphasizing the importance of faith and family in his daily life. He describes his life as one dedicated to “servant-leadership.”

James is the president of his family business, James Group International, a supply chain and logistics company. He has overseen the company’s growth, skyrocketing revenue from $35 million to $137 million. During his time as president, he has also led the company to create an additional 100 jobs in Michigan and around the country.

Deciding to serve his country when he was 17 years old, James graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2004. He went on to become a Ranger-qualified aviation pilot and deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received many awards for his service, including a Combat Action Badge (CAB) and two Air Medals. He spent eight years serving before being honorably discharged.

James has demonstrated energized leadership, conservative values, and a passion for service. Dedicated and driven, his goal is to represent Michigan well and unify Washington. James points out that if you need someone to send to Washington to fight for your values, why not send a tested combat veteran?

As a Millennial conservative, I could not be more ecstatic to see John James run for U.S. Senate. He is the fresh face and voice of conservatism that could breathe new life into the Republican Party. When times are changing, and freedom is at stake, you cannot just keep running the same old candidates and using the same old strategy.

You need someone new. You need someone with drive. You need someone who knows what’s at stake and is willing to fight for it.

The Republican Party NEEDS John James as the next U.S. Senator from the state of Michigan.
