Over the last few weeks, we have been inundated with stories about men in the entertainment, media, and political world succumbing to accusations of sexual harassment or assault. How should Christians respond?
On this episode of the Caffeinated Thoughts Podcast, Brian Myers, senior contributor for Caffeinated Thoughts and former co-host of Caffeinated Thoughts Radio, joined our host, Shane Vander Hart, to discuss this, as well as, how several men likely wished they followed Vice President Mike Pence’s example.
While those who seek to be predators won’t follow such rules, Christian men who seek to honor Christ and love their wives will find setting some boundaries can protect their marriages and careers.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 says “Abstain from every form of evil,” (ESV). The King James Version is slightly different it reads, “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
How do we do that? Shane mentioned a book he read several years ago by Jerry Jenkins entitled, Hedges: Loving Your Marriage Enough to Protect It. Brian and Shane discuss some of Jenkins’ hedges and how they’ve applied that in their own life.
