We’re a year into an administration where the GOP has it all:  the House, the Senate, the White House, the Supreme Court.  We should be realizing victory after victory.  But what have we gotten, instead?  Capitulation to liberal policies and agendas.  Policies that would have had us livid, had they occurred under a Democrat administration.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that we no longer have two parties.  We have one party with two heads, and the only way to slay that two-headed beast is taking a serious look at third parties.

Voters spend the years between elections, begging for more options.  Yet, when election time rolls around, they declare “3rd parties don’t work” and vote for what they believe to be, the lesser of two evils.  They ignore the fact that voting for a lesser evil, is still voting for evil.

That’s why we have a Congress with a 90% re-election rate, but only a 15% approval rating.  We need to break that cycle.

I’m seeing a whole lot of “I’m going sit on my hands until a 3rd party becomes viable” in conjunction with “Congress betrayed me”.

And therein lies the problem.

It’s impossible for a 3rd party to become viable, if everyone is sitting around, waiting for it to become viable.  I understand the desire to take a wait and see approach.  It’s human nature to be adverse to change.  But how much longer do we have to “wait and see”?  By my watch, the time has run out.

It’s not like multiple parties are some half-baked, radical idea.  Even Communist Russia has six parties represented in their Parliament.  The House of Commons has nine.  But the US?  The US has one more viable alternative than North Korea does. That’s pretty sad.

At some point, people need to stick their necks out and say “I’m giving a couple of hours a week to a 3rd party, that ALIGNS WITH MY PRINCIPLES”, and drop this obsession we’ve developed that it’s all about winning an election, rather than putting the right people into office.

Your other option is wishing and hoping that if you scream loud enough on Facebook or Twitter, you’ll magically change the GOP from within.

The same GOP that just gave you exploding deficits, fully funded Planned Parenthood, funded Obamacare, entitlement expansion, increased costs on lumber and appliances, and even gun control.
The same GOP that hasn’t proposed a SINGLE small government piece of legislation.

Statistically, the GOP just authorized the murder of 600,000 more children in the womb.

Think about that for a minute, while you continue to say “I’m going to sit on the fence and wait for someone else to make a third party viable. I refuse to do any of the heavy lifting, myself”.
