The movie trailer for Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer was released on Wednesday. Watch below:

The movie will be in theaters on Friday, October 12, 2018 and will open in 750 theaters nationwide. 

The film is the true story of the investigation and trial of Philadelphia abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell, his 30-year killing spree and the political and media establishment that tried to cover it up.  The Philadelphia Police Department’s routine drugs investigation uncovers a major scandal that is far-reaching. The movie is based on The New York Times best-selling book Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer written by producers Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer.

The movie was directed by Nick Searcy. It was produced by Ann McElhinney, Phelim McAleer, Magdalena Segieda, and John Sullivan. The movie’s cast includes Dean Cain, Sarah Jane Morris, Earl Billings, Michael Beach, Cyrina Fiallo, and Searcy. 

The movie was crowdfunded and raised over $2.3 million in 45 days with almost 30,000 donors.
