Life Right Action launched a new campaign on Tuesday called “Wrong Way Fred” that highlights Fred Hubbell’s support for Planned Parenthood and abortion-on-demand. Hubbell is the Democratic nominee in Iowa’s Gubernatorial Race and was once the chairman of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland.

“In his quest for the role of Iowa’s governor, Fred Hubbell has spent the past few months telling us that he wants to ‘get Iowa growing the right way’,” stated Jenifer Bowen, President of Life Right Action. “We’ve researched Fred’s actions and comments over the past few decades and find that the stakes have never been higher.”

“Whether it’s his push for abortion on demand, and at the taxpayer’s expense, or bragging about purchasing a building for Iowa’s largest abortion chain, as governor, Fred Hubbell would further endanger our unborn children.”

“The Wrong Way, Fred campaign exists to educate Iowans on exactly what we would be getting if Fred Hubbell became our Governor. Loaded with content and shareable graphics, we want all Iowans to learn the truth about the direction Fred Hubbell wants to move Iowans — and that would be backward, not forward! That’s the Wrong Way, Fred!,” Bowen concluded.

The group, for instance, points out Hubbell’s donations to Planned Parenthood amounting to tens of thousands of dollars:

Life Right Action reviewed well over a dozen annual reports from Iowa’s Planned Parenthood, spanning 1997-2017.

Of those reports, five years revealed donors names and giving levels; 2005-2009.

In the fiscal years 2005, 2006 and 2007, Fred and Charlotte Hubbell donated to the abortion chain in the range of $10-24,999.  In 2008-2009, they donated in the range of $25-49,999.
