44 county sheriffs announced their endorsement for Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds because of her strong record on public safety, including support for law enforcement across the state of Iowa.

“As a governor, one of my top priorities is public safety.” Reynolds said. “We can never stop fighting for safe communities and I understand that law enforcement plays such a critical role in that. I am proud to have the support of county sheriffs in every corner of Iowa and I know that law enforcement will continue to be a partner as we make Iowa an even better, safer place to live.”

“Iowa has a strong leader in Governor Kim Reynolds because she’s an ally of law enforcement. I firmly believe Governor Reynolds will continue to be a champion for our IPERS System and her background in county government gives her a great perspective for the needs of local governments across Iowa,” Carroll County Sheriff Ken Pingrey stated. “I am endorsing Governor Kim Reynolds because the direction of our state, the direction of safety in our communities needs to come first and foremost.”

“Governor Reynolds understands local government, she understands the importance of public safety, and she is a champion for law enforcement here in Iowa,” Clay County Sheriff Chris Raveling said. “She’s a governor for all Iowans and understands the needs of our smallest communities. I am proud to be on her team and support her run for Governor.”

“I have known Governor Reynolds for years and her approach to public safety, law enforcement, and local government is above reproach,”Scott County Sheriff Tim Lane added. “There’s no one better for our cops, for safe streets, and for local government than Kim.”

With over 40 county sheriffs endorsing Governor Reynolds’ campaign and a robust list of over 5,000 grassroots county chairs, Governor Reynolds continues to build a broad coalition of support in every corner of Iowa.
