Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’ campaign released another ad this week entitled “Training” that focuses on how being a grandmother of 10 has prepared her in her role as Governor.

“My family means everything to me. Being a grandmother of 10 helps you multitask, be a good listener, and most importantly serves as a reminder about why I want Iowa to be the best place in America to live,” Reynolds said. “I care about this state so much and that’s why for every Iowan, for every grandma and all of their grandchildren, I am running to Keep Iowa Moving.”

Thumbs up for this political ad, I’m not a fan of attack ads. This ad was positive and addresses an aspect of life that many Iowans can relate to. Well done.

  1. My two granddaughters adopted to a very abusive family in September 2013, have been homeschooled, very little outside contacts, multiple Washington Police reports, have run away and always returned by DHS and the police or sheriff department. They had a permanent home with birth relatives and lots of LOVE. YES, this makes me very sick that grandparents in Iowa cannot raise their grandchildren because of false allegations, lies and the Federal Incentives. Two other grandmothers and myself have tried for more than a year to get a meeting with her and she refuses. Why???

  2. We’re happy to see Governor Reynolds in her role as grandmother. Should she be elected, she has agreed to meet with members of Grandparent’s Rights Association of Iowa to discuss grandparent alienation and discrimination.

  3. Well my family meant everything to me as well. And because of Iowa’s corrupted family court’s I no longer have mine. I raised 3 kids only to have my grandchildren ripped away which had destroyed our entire family bonds 4 generations. It created numerous suicides and pushed others into drugs and some of us to young but having serious health issues now. Which has ran up the cost of healthcare at taxpayers exspence . My health care alone when I was in fair health blumited . In less than 2 years it cost Iowa taxpayers over 500 thousand dollars to keep me alive.
