On today’s Caffeinated Thoughts Podcast, Brian Myers interviewed Natalie Ogbourne. She is a former seasonal employee and near-annual visitor in Yellowstone National Park who has learned that finding her way in the woods helps her walk by faith in her everyday life. A midwesterner with a longstanding fear of cows, she has survived a snowmobile-windshield-to-nostril standoff with a half-ton bison, a trip into the backcountry with recreationally-unstable fly-fishing guide, and a trek across the edge of a cliff pursued by a wandering bear.

Natalie is also known as a speaker who paints pictures with words and brings the Word to life, Natalie tells tales from the trail that connects biblical truth with the terrain of the heart. She approaches the outdoors with an eye for how it informs the life of faith and shares what she sees to encourage others to navigate the landscape of their lives by faith.

Natalie resides on a wooded acreage near Knoxville, Iowa with her husband of twenty-five years, their children, a pond full of fish, and a herd of cats. Her indoor adventures include teaching her youngest daughter at home, speaking at women’s events, and directing the Heritage Acting Troupe, where she encourages high school actors to live out their faith as they go through the process of putting together their annual production.
