Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds’ campaign released its final tv ad of the election cycle titled, “Choice.” The ad highlights how Governor Kim Reynolds will be a candidate for Iowans, not government.

“Iowa is the best place in America to live, work, and raise a family,” Reynolds said. “This election the choice is clear, I am going to continue to be a governor for lower taxes, smarter government, and a leader who believes in the people of Iowa. My opponent thinks solving problems is done simply by growing government, and his Liberal policies would take halt our progress and take Iowa .”

Watch:

Reynolds signed into law historic tax cuts, balanced the budget, and Iowa has a $127 million surplus. She’s asking every Iowan for their vote so that she can #KeepIowaMoving.

  1. Two interesting poll results on the Iowa Governor’s race. The first is the Emerson Poll which concluded: “The Iowa Governor race is within 4 points with incumbent Kim Reynolds (R) at 49% and Fred Hubbell (D) 45%, with 5% undecided. Democrats are looking to pick up two House seats in the 1st and 3rd districts.” The Emerson poll, which interviewed 1462 likely voters, was conducted from October 29 to November 1. The margin of error is 2.7% which means Reynold’s 4 point lead is NOT within the margin of error. https://www.emerson.edu/news-events/emerson-college-today/emerson-polls-tight-governor-races-georgia-wisconsin-iowa-democrats-look-pick-two-house-seats-iowa#.W9xXipNKhhF

The other results from from the Des Moines Register Iowa Poll which concluded: “Forty-six percent of likely voters say they support Hubbell, and 44 percent say they support Reynolds. Two percent say they support Libertarian Jake Porter, and just 2 percent are undecided. The rest refused to answer or say they would vote for someone else.” The Iowa Poll, which interviewed 801 likely voters, was conducted from October 30 to November 2. The margin of error is 3.5% which means that Hubbell’s lead IS within the margin of error. What is quite interesting is that 6% of the voters refused to answer or are voting for someone else. This seems high in light of the fact that refusal to respond was not even reported in the Emerson Poll, whose results totaled 99%. Could this be Trump or conservative voters refusing to respond to a poll identified with the liberal Des Moines Register? https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/iowa-poll/2018/11/03/iowa-poll-governor-race-kim-reynolds-fred-hubbell-jake-porter-selzer-iowa-election-2018-medicaid/1871874002/
