Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) announced that he will hold a town hall meeting in Lyon County. The meeting will be open to the public and media and will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 12:00p to 1:00p (CST) at the Forster Community Center in Rock Rapids. (404 Main Street, Rock Rapids, IA).

This is the second of 39 town halls King will hold in 2019.

King’s first town hall was held on January 26, 2019 in Primghar after having to reschedule a town hall meeting originally scheduled on January 24th due to the House of Representatives voting schedule.

King faces at a three-way primary (and possibly a four-way primary) for the Republican nomination. State Senator Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), Bret Richards, a businessman and former Mayor of Irwin, and Jeremy Taylor, a Woodbury County Supervisor, have announced their intentions to run. Story County Supervisor Rick Sanders is considering running as well.

His third town hall meeting is scheduled for February 23, the time and location have not yet been annouced.
