SIOUX CITY, Iowa – On Thursday, the Jeremy Taylor for Congress campaign announced that in the eight weeks he has been a candidate for Congress, he raised $57,928 from 98 donors, over 90% of whom live or work in the district. Taylor also received financial support from former Steve King supporters who have given $114,500 to King in past elections. The campaign ended the quarter with 85.5 percent of the campaign funds raised, still on hand.
“I’m honored to have earned the support from so many people who believe that we need a new voice in Congress. They’re ready to turn the page on the Steve King era but understand that Randy Feenstra is just another establishment politician. The voters want a conservative who can win, and every day we add to our list of supporters and donors,” Taylor said in a released statement.
“Even just eight weeks into this campaign, it’s clear that we’re going to have the resources we need to win this primary. Jeremy Taylor is a grassroots conservative with a record of service to his community and to his country. Iowa voters are looking for authenticity, conservative values, and a willingness to tell it like it is and answer tough questions on the stump. That’s the type of campaign that wins, and that’s the campaign we plan to run,” Michael Biundo,
Taylor is an Army National Guard chaplain in the 734th RSG and is currently serving his second term as a supervisor in the 4th District’s largest county, Woodbury County. A former statehouse legislator, Taylor also works as an energy specialist for the Sioux City Schools. Jeremy is a lifelong resident of the 4th District and is married to Kim. Together, they own a small business and have six children.
Biundo served as national campaign manager for Rick Santorum for President in 2012, general consultant to Sam Clovis for Senate in 2014, senior advisor to Rand Paul for President in 2016, and senior advisor to Donald J. Trump for President in 2016.
