HULL, Iowa – Iowa State Senator Tim Kraayenbrink, R-Fort Dodge, announced his endorsement of State Senator Randy Feenstra in the Republican Primary for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District on Thursday afternoon.

“I’m excited to whole heartedly endorse Randy Feenstra for Congress. Randy is a friend, an effective conservative, and the leader we need representing us in Congress. In the State Senate, I’ve seen Randy deliver conservative results for Iowa – including the largest tax cut in Iowa history.” Kraayenbrink said.

“Today, more than ever, Iowans need a seat at the table in Congress. I’ve seen first-hand Randy’s ability to deliver for Iowans, and I know he will do the same in Congress,” he added.

“Senator Kraayenbrink is a respected leader in the Senate and across Iowa.  He’s been a partner in the conservative fight and I’m proud to have his support,” Feenstra said responding to the endorsement.

Kraayenbrink represents Iowa Senate District 5, first elected to that seat in 2014. He is the vice chair of the Iowa Senate Appropriations Committee and also serves on the Education and Local Government committees as well as the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.

Feenstra is running to challenge incumbent Republican congressman Steve King from Kiron along with two other candidates – former Irwin Mayor Bret Richards and Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor – in the four-way primary

Feenstra currently leads the Republican field in fundraising, and social conservative leader, Bob Vander Plaats of The FAMiLY LEADER, recently gave his personal endorsement to his campaign.
