Abe Parker and Lecrae performing “Joy” at 1971 Studios in Atlanta, Ga.

I am not a Christmas music fan. I typically avoid Christmas music like the plague and will generally avoid it until Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Bah, humbug, right?

Then I watched a video of Abe Parker and Lecrae’s new Christmas song, ‘Joy’ that is part of The Gift: A Christmas Compilation, a collection of 12 songs from some of the 116 artists, released by Reach Records on November 29, 2019.

I find myself listening to it frequently.

Watch and listen:

The Gift features additional artists such as Derek Minor, Andy Mineo, Tedashii, and Trip Lee.

It’s a gift to those of us who are not fans of Christmas music.
