Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Eddie Mauro took a shot at U.S. Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, on Facebook Thursday afternoon calling her a “Republican puppet” who will “never put women’s rights first.”

I find it odd that I don’t see this kind of rhetoric coming from Theresa Greenfield or Kimberly Graham and they’re women.

Should he win the nomination, which I think will take a minor miracle, this line of attack will fall flat.

To buy into what he is saying you have to accept the premise that in order to be in favor of “women’s rights” you have to be pro-abortion. So according Mauro all pro-life women, and there are many pro-life women, are not pro-women’s rights.

“Mansplaining” must be ok if they are pushing leftist talking points.

I’m reminded what Kelvey Vander Hart, my daughter who is (*shocking*) a pro-life woman, wrote back in 2018.

“Women care about economics, government overreach, gun rights, and every other political or policy issue that could be considered. In acting as if we must all just care about our reproductive system, and that we must all clearly think the same… as if women are not capable of diversity of thought and being able to logically think about issues that don’t involve their body parts,” she wrote.

“Women who choose to be sexually active are perfectly capable of keeping themselves from becoming pregnant, whether through birth control or refusing to engage in sexual activity without a condom. Women who become pregnant are capable of giving the baby up for adoption. Pretending that women will fall to pieces without the government legalizing the murder of children is ridiculous,” Kelvey added.

She must be a misogynist! I’m glad guys like Mauro are out there to keep women like Kelvey and Joni Ernst straight. What a relief!

Yeah, if we don’t hold strict lefty, pro-abort views, we poor little women are just mindless puppets who are just too weak to think what we *truly* should– but don’t worry, the wonderful progressive men will save us, and do all the thinking we need! Don’t worry our poor little heads, just do what we’re told.

I didn’t care for it when I was a teen, I don’t care for it many years later.

That the lady hasn’t sent his teeth back down his throat is a definite sign of good self control.
