COVID-19 cases in Iowa as of March 29, 2020.

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Department of Public Health announced a total of 102 additional cases of COVID-19 on Saturday and Sunday. They also announced that another Iowan, an older adult (61-80 years), passed away in Linn County on Saturday evening.

There are a total of 336 positive cases in the state of Iowa and four deaths. There have been a total of 5,013 negative tests to date, which includes testing reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs. 

According to IDPH, the locations and age ranges of the 102 individuals include:

  • Benton County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Boone County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Buchanan County, one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Cedar County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Cerro Gordo County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Dallas County, four adults (18-40 years), two middle-aged (41-60 years)
  • Dubuque County, one child (0-17 years), three middle-aged (41-60 years), three older adults (61-80 years), one elderly adult (81+)
  • Fayette County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Harrison County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Henry County, one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Iowa County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Jasper County, one adult (18-40 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Johnson County, three adults (18-40 years), three middle-aged adults (41-60 years), one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Keokuk County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Linn County, seven adults (18-40 years), eight middle-aged adults (41-60 years), five older adults (61-80 years)
  • Marshall County, one adult (18-40 years), four middle-aged adults (41-60 years)
  • Muscatine County, one adult (18-40 years), two middle-aged adults (41-60 years)
  • Polk County, six adults (18-40 years), six middle-aged (41-60 years), eight older adults (61-80 years), one elderly adult (81+)
  • Poweshiek County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Scott County, two adults (18-40 years), one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Shelby County, one older adult (61-80 years)
  • Tama County, three adults (18-40 years), one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Taylor County, one adult (18-40 years)
  • Washington County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years), one elderly adult (81+)
  • Winneshiek County, one middle-aged adult (41-60 years)
  • Woodbury County, one adult (18-40 years)

The line is available 24/7 by calling 2-1-1 or 1-800-244-7431. The state of Iowa has started sharing the number of negative tests conducted at outside labs and is providing additional information on the conditions of those infected with COVID-19.
