HULL, Iowa – State Senator Randy Feenstra, R-Hull, raised $122,871 in the first quarter of 2020 from 319 contributors. This quarter’s fundraising brings his fundraising total for the campaign to $844,000 from 1,890 individual contributions.

Feenstra’s fundraising allowed the campaign to begin running TV ads on March 13 in the Sioux City market. His campaign plans to continue running ads until Election Day, cumulating in 6,000 gross ratings points.  After a month of advertising, the campaign still has $415,000 cash on hand.

“Our support proves that people are ready to elect an effective conservative leader with a record of delivering conservative results,” Feenstra said. “In the Iowa Senate, I’ve delivered conservative victories that protect innocent life, ban sanctuary cities, preserve the 2nd Amendment and provide historic tax relief to Iowa families.”

The Feenstra campaign also promotes its message through cable, connected tv and digital advertising across the district supplemented with direct mail to voters outside of the Sioux City market.

At the end of the previous quarter, Feenstra had 15-to-1 cash on hand advantage over U.S. Rep. Steve King, who reported $32,010 cash on hand.

“Our fundraising success has allowed us to deploy a districtwide media campaign focused on Randy’s record of delivering conservative results,” campaign manager Matt Leopold said. “Between now and Election Day, we’ll continue deploying our financial and grassroots resources to ensure 4th District voters have the effective conservative leadership they deserve.”

In addition to his fundraising support, Feenstra has been supported by Ambassador Terry Branstad and endorsed by conservative leader Bob Vander Plaats, 608 grassroots chairs, 263 students, and State Senators Waylon Brown, Annette Sweeney, Tim Kraayenbrink and State Representatives Megan Jones and Dan Huseman.
