WALL LAKE, Iowa – King for Congress announced that Sam Clovis, the former national co-chair and chief policy advisor to the Trump-Pence Campaign, has endorsed U.S. Rep. Steve King’s re-election campaign. In addition to offering his endorsement, Clovis recorded both a 60-second radio ad and a “get out the vote” call.

“Sam Clovis is nationally recognized as the most respected Constitutional Conservative in the state of Iowa and is an American hero. His selfless service on the front lines for decades demonstrating his love for our country has elevated him above reproach,” King said. “I am humbled to have earned his endorsement, and I appreciate the fact that he is a Conservative icon in this state who fights for our shared principles. Sam Clovis stood alongside President Trump throughout the campaign here in Iowa and beyond. He’s seen firsthand the depths of the ‘swamp’ and recognizes the forces working against me in my campaign are the same forces working against President Trump.”

“Sam Clovis understands that this Primary Election represents a fight against the establishment NeverTrumper special interests, and I am pleased to have him standing with me as we take the battle to them,” he added.

On May 26, Sam Clovis appeared on the Simon Conway show to “put my heartfelt endorsement behind Steve King in the 4th District primary.” In making his endorsement, Clovis said to Conway: “One of the things that I’ve been most upset about in this is the establishment trying to buy a nomination for an individual [Randy Feenstra] that I don’t think will represent the District the way Steve King has represented the district.”

Also, Clovis told Conway that “Steve King is, truly, the only Constitutional Conservative in this race, and I think people need to hear that and pay attention to that.”

Clovis also recorded a radio ad urging 4th District voters to cast a vote for Steve King in the June 2nd Republican Congressional Primary. The ad, the campaign says, focuses on “Randy Feenstra’s history of telling voters one thing at home while doing something else in Des Moines.”

The text reads:

Hello, I’m Sam Clovis, the former national co-chair and chief policy advisor to the Trump-Pence campaign.

The best way to support President Trump is to vote for Steve King on June 2.

Steve King stands with President Trump and is working every day to Make America Great Again and to Build the Wall!

Donald Trump and Steve King stand on principle and take on the Swamp every day. I should know, I’ve seen both in action.

But Randy Feenstra tells his voters one thing and does something else in Des Moines. He said he would block every gambling bill as a ‘matter of principle.’ Instead, he was the architect of the largest expansion of gambling in Iowa’s history.

The fact is, a pro-gambling Super-PAC was set up to support Randy’s run for Congress. Feenstra sold his vote.

You know Steve King can’t be bought. That’s why I’m voting for Steve King, and you should too.

Clovis will also record a “Get Out the Vote” call on Congressman King’s behalf. Those receiving the calls will hear Sam Clovis say this:

Hello, I’m Sam Clovis, the former national co-chair and chief policy advisor to the Trump-Pence Campaign. The best way to support President Trump is to vote for Steve King on June 2.

I know how much we need Steve King in Congress. Congressman King stands with President Trump and is working every day to Make America Great Again and to Build the Wall!

Steve King’s major opponents are Never Trumpers. ‘Red Flag’ Randy Feenstra even takes money from groups who want to give illegal aliens AMNESTY, who killed the heartbeat bill, and who want to take your guns away.

To help President Trump ‘Make America Great Again,’ please vote to re-elect Steve King on June 2. Thanks, and God Bless America.
