DES MOINES, Iowa – The Republican Party of Iowa released the results from the State Convention over the weekend. The State Convention scheduled for June 13, 2020, was held instead by mail-in ballot.

The state convention delegates approved the 2020 party platform by a 952-96. Steve Scheffler and Tamara Scott were selected to represent the state as Republican National Committeeman and Committeewoman on the Republican National Committee.

Scott ran unopposed. Scheffler defeated challenger Dave Dicks 847 to 264.

The Iowa GOP noted that all delegates, delegate alternates, and presidential electors chosen by the nominating committee won.
