Hundreds gathered on Grand Avenue in front of Terrace Hill, Iowa’s Governor’s mansion, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

DES MOINES, Iowa – On Tuesday evening, hundreds of protesters marched from the Sculpture Park on the west side of downtown Des Moines to the Governor’s Mansion at Terrace Hill to hold a rally in protest of police brutality after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minn.

That rally dispersed peacefully with a smaller group deciding to march from the Sculpture Park around the State Capitol Building and back. The march after the county-wide mandatory 9:00 pm curfew also remained peaceful and police did not disperse any protesters.

Both Shane Vander Hart and Kelvey Vander Hart operated live streams of the events. Watch the videos below.
