DES MOINES, Iowa – Over 1,000 people attended a rally Monday evening in response to death of George Floyd at the hands of police in Minneapolis. This was the fourth day of protests in the city.

Speakers included Rev. Ben Bell, Jr., Al Womble of the Iowa Democratic Black Caucus, Betty Andrews with the Iowa-Nebraska Chapter of the NAACP, Pastor Dan Berry of Cornerstone Family Church in Des Moines, Connie Ryan with the Iowa Interfaith Alliance, State Auditor Rob Sand, and State Rep. Ako Abdul-Samad.
