VAN METER, Iowa – On Wednesday, David Young, candidate for Iowa’s Third Congressional District, announced the endorsement of over 60 small business owners from across the district.

β€œI am honored to receive the endorsement and trust of this growing list of small business owners, and thank them for their support,” said Young. β€œSmall businesses are the backbone of our economy. These leaders represent a wide cross section of businesses – from skilled labor to real estate to hospitality and restaurants. As Iowa’s Third District Representative, I will always fight to keep taxes low and unnecessary regulations at bay to provide these Iowa entrepreneurs and employers with the certainty they need to hire the workers they need to make sure their business is successful.”

β€œI’ve come to know David Young over the years and trust him to make decisions that ensure my business will succeed,” said Michael Schweitzer, owner of Bedford Drug in Bedford, Iowa. β€œThe most important thing is he has always been around and available to us to talk to.”

β€œOwning a small business, especially in this climate, can be stressful,” said Tom Walk, owner of The Corner Coffee Shop in Greenfield, Iowa. β€œHaving someone like David Young in Congress, who I know has my back, would make it easier for my business to be successful. He really gets to know us, where we are at, and what we need.”

These small business owners join the National Federation of Independent Business Federal PAC and Business and Industry PAC, who have already previously endorsed Young.
