DES MOINES, Iowa – With a little more than one month to go before election day, Republican nominees in Iowa’s U.S. Senate, Iowa 1st Congressional District, Iowa 2nd Congressional District, and Iowa 3rd Congressional District races released ads this week.
Ernst Ad Features Life-Long Democrat
U.S. Senator Joni Ernst’s ad features Rick, a Vietnam Veteran, and life-long Democrat, who says Ernst’s Democratic challenger, Teresa Greenfield, is “much too liberal” for him.
He also points out Greenfield is in the pocket of the radical left. The Ernst campaign states that between donations to her campaign and spending by liberal outside special interest groups, the Democrat benefits from $100 million in spending.

“My entire life, I’ve been a Democrat. I just want nothing to do with them anymore. Theresa Greenfield is much too liberal for me. I don’t think Theresa Greenfield is capable of standing up to the radical left because she’s already in their pocket. I’m a lifelong Democrat, but I’m voting for Joni Ernst,” Rick said.
Hinson Ad Features Survivor Champion
State Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Marion, released a new digital ad in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District race that features Survivor champion and Cedar Rapids police officer, Sarah Lacina.

“On Survivor, you learn who to trust, and I don’t trust Abby Finkenauer. I don’t care what tribe you’re on, you can’t trust anyone who votes with Nancy Pelosi 93% of the time. As a police officer, I know Ashley Hinson has my back. She’s a fighter for families, small business and law enforcement. Take it from me, it’s time to vote Abby off the island,” Lacina said in the ad.
Miller-Meeks’ Ad Features Her Medical Experience
State Senator Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Ottumwa, released her third ad in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District race. In her ad, Miller-Meeks explains how she will use her health care expertise in Congress to get Iowans safely back to work. The ad includes her 2013 warning as the then-director of the Iowa Department of Public Health that a pandemic would emerge from another continent.

Young’s Ad Calls Cindy Axne a ‘Rubber Stamp’
Former U.S. Rep. David Young released an ad in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District race that highlights how U.S. Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, votes with Speaker Nancy Pelosi 95 percent of the time.
“Cindy Axne ran on kitchen table issues and putting Iowa first, but her voting record does everything but these,” said Campaign Manager Andy Swanson. “From advocating for repealing tax relief, to supporting a health care plan which would raise taxes and threaten to shut down rural hospitals, when she isn’t using the proxy vote to skip work, Cindy Axne is the wrong voice for this district.”
