bachman-pls-iowaWell there were rumors flying around that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was going to announce her 2012 intentions at the Polk County GOP’s Robb Kelley Victory Dinner tomorrow (or at least somewhere in Iowa) where she is keynoting.  Kathie Obradovich reports that Congresswoman Bachmann in a phone interview said not so, she’s sticking to her original plan to announce in June.

I would hope if she did make her announcement tomorrow it wouldn’t have been at the dinner as the Polk County GOP wants to remain neutral.  Having her announce then would have been inappropriate.  Maybe she’s waiting to see what former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s intentions are.

Real Clear Politics reports that a feature length movie entitled The Undefeated about Palin’s time as Governor of Alaska will be premiering in June.  In Iowa.  Hmmm….  Scott Conroy writes, “If she does decide to run, "The Undefeated" will be the key element to her initial coming-out party. The film’s impending release — and the frenzied media attention that it is sure to generate — will serve as a vivid wake-up call that despite the many obstacles in front of her, Palin’s entry into the race would turn the campaign on its head in an instant, just as it did in 2008.”

Yes it would.
