imageFormer Governor and Ambassador Jon Huntsman (R-UT) decided Iowa was going to be a little too tough for him so he wanted to avoid Iowa altogether.  So he said something to this effect –“you Iowans like ethanol subsidies, and I’m against them so I’m going to avoid your state.”

Boo hoo.

Can I say that has to be the lamest excuse I’ve ever heard.  Yes Ambassador Huntsman, all Iowans are in favor of ethanol subsidies (rolling my eyes).  Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic.  You’ve just proven your campaign is a non-starter.  You claim that America is “a marketplace for political ideas.”

And yet you avoid that very marketplace.

The funny thing is that you act as though you are the only person against ethanol subsidies.

Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty says we have to scale them back.

Congressman Steve King (R-IA) is against ethanol subsidies.

Herman Cain today in Pella, IA said that government shouldn’t pick winners or losers.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey understands they have to end.

Oh yes, you could *never* win here because of your ethanol subsidy stand.

I agree with Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz you’re not ready for The Big Dance.  I also believe former gubernatorial candidate and CEO of The FAMiLY Leader has said you’ve disqualified yourself and wonders if you’re just going to be President of 49 states….

Why don’t you just admit that you’re afraid of the hard questions you’ll receive in Iowa  about social issues (you know you’ll get those in South Carolina as well).  If you’re going to run from questions, then just do us all a favor and drop out.

Because it doesn’t look like you’re knocking their socks off in New Hampshire either.

Ambassador, I dub you Huntsman the Lame, purveyor of asinine excuses.
