Confusion has surfaced over a recent Des Moines Register article regarding several thousand non-profits losing their tax exempt status. Some have interpreted the quotes from our organization as an indication that Iowa Right to Life has lost our tax exempt status. This is untrue. Our office was contacted for comments on other pro-life chapters and organizations in Iowa losing their status. We were not one of those organizations. Iowa Right to Life remains a tax-exempt organization.

In addition, we are immediately disabling our PayPal option for on-line donations. We are unable to continue to utilizing them as they are a substantial supporter of Planned Parenthood. Until we have another alternative in place, we will be accepting credit card donations over the phone or checks can be mailed to our office at 1500 Illinois Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50314.
