February 29, 2012—Des Moines, Iowa–David Bereit and Shawn Carney, Directors for the 40 Days for Life are coming to Iowa this week to celebrate the closure of two more Planned Parenthood abortion centers and for multiple 40 Days for Life prayer vigil site visits.

“We are honored to stand side-by-side with international pro-life leaders, David Bereit and Shawn Carney,” affirmed Jenifer Bowen, Executive Director of Iowa Right to Life.  “Countless Iowans have prayed outside multiple abortion centers across Iowa for decades.  There are now two less cities where the Iowa abortion industry will no longer destroy our unborn children. ”

The schedule for the 40 Days for Life Rallies is as follows:

Thursday, March 1, 10:15-11:15AM

Location: Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facility; 1000 East Army Post Road, Des Moines, Iowa (at the public right-of-way outside the facility).

Thursday, March 1, 12:00 Noon-1:00PM

Location:  Planned Parenthood RU-486 webcam abortion location; 10534 New York Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa (at the public right-of-way outside the facility).

Thursday, March 1, 6:00-9:00PM

Location:  Outside the now-closed Planned Parenthood facility, 720 Erie Street, Storm Lake, Iowa, for a short time of prayer and song.

7:00 PM at the Municipal Country Club, 1528 East Lakeshore Drive, Storm Lake, for dessert, fellowship and a time to praise God for closing the abortion center.

The Victory Celebration will be facilitated by Sue Thayer, former clinic manager for the Storm Lake, Iowa, Planned Parenthood.

Location:  InnerVisions HealthCare, 1355 50th Street; West Des Moines, Iowa, a pro-life medical clinic, located near Urbandale Planned Parenthood.  A meet and greet with David Bereit and Shawn Carney will be open to the public.
