Kind of out of the blue SarahPAC was launched with no fanfare.  Some suspected that Governor Palin would do this, and it perhaps it means she’s looking at a 2012 run for President.  Perhaps not.  One thing it does signal is her desire to stay involved with national politics.

From the frontpage:

Dedicated to building America’s future, supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.

SarahPAC believes America’s best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination.

SarahPAC believes energy independence is a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves.

SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals.

I’m trying to confirm that this is actually something that Governor Palin started.  There is much online with her name on it that she doesn’t have anything to do with.  Just because the website says it is the “offiicial” PAC doesn’t make it so.  So I’ll update when I read of or get (I e-mailed them) some sort of confirmation.  It likely is, and if so I’ll look foward to promoting the work they do and helping however I can.

Update: Conservatives 4 Palin claims this is legit, and the Anchorage Daily News is talking about it on their Alaska Politics blog as well.

Hot Air vouches for it as well.

The boss (Michelle Malkin) just got off the phone with a spokesman for Campaign Solutions, the site’s registrar, who told her it’s for real and that the PAC papers were filed with the FEC yesterday.

Greta Van Susteren who seems to have connected with the Palin family is also blogging about this.

I’m just curious if they meant to launch it this way.  It seems rather odd, but then again it has a grassroots feel to it.

2nd Update: Just got an update from her Facebook Page as well.

3rd Update: KTUU video of an interview she gave today on SarahPac, this alleged book deal (which is false), and out-of-state travel.
