Former Maryland Lt. Governor Michael Steele and Chair of GoPAC was elected the Republican National Committee Chairman this afternoon after a sixth ballot.  Congratulations to Chairman Steele.  His emphasis of his plan really focuses on grassroots efforts, revitalizing state parties and partnering with them, identifying and unleashing leadership, as well as, attracting new members to the GOP.

Like me he has endorsed the Rebuild the Party plan.  He is also a huge fan of Sarah Palin.  I appreciated as well in his acceptance speech when he said, “we stand proud as the conservative party in the United States.”

He’s also an excellent communicator.

This is a good change from the failed leadership of Mike Duncan.  I look forward to a renewed grassroots effort, the identification and empowering of new leadership, and closing the technology gap that the GOP finds itself in.
