Archer

Davenport, IA: John Archer (R-Bettendorf) was joined by several supporters at the Sarah Harding Retirement Community in Clinton today to announce the Seniors for Archer Coalition.

“I am grateful for the tremendous support we’ve received from seniors,” said Archer. “As I have traveled throughout the entire Second District, I’ve seen firsthand that Iowa seniors are deeply concerned with the path our country is on, and so am I.”

“I am honored to have the support of over 100 Iowans and am proud to stand with them today.  They have seen the ups and downs of this country and know that the right path is to put the brakes on the overspending and overtaxing polices we have seen out of Washington,” Archer said.

“While Congressman Loebsack has voted to cut from Medicare to pay for ObamaCare, I will keep our promise to seniors while preserving and protecting Medicare for future generations,” continued Archer. “In order to preserve and protect Medicare we need to stop subsidizing wealthy individuals and bailing out corporations.”

“I have two great-grandchildren. I want to make sure Medicare is preserved for them. We need someone in Congress who will stop kicking the can down the road. We need John Archer,” said coalition member Dorothy Camp, 96 of Clinton. “I want to make sure this country is on the right path, that is why I am a proud member of the Seniors for Archer Coalition.”
