Iowa Prayer Breakfast
Des Moines, IA – The 52nd annual Iowa Prayer Breakfast will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 7:15-8:45 a.m.  It will be held at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center (formerly Veterans Memorial Auditorium) at 883 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA  50309.  The purpose of the Iowa Prayer Breakfast is to bring together Iowa’s governor, state legislators, and community and religious leaders to join with the public to ask God’s direction and blessing upon the state.

Over 1,000 people have already registered for the Iowa Prayer Breakfast, surpassing registration numbers from previous years.  Individuals and sponsors are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure a seat.

In addition to the Iowa Prayer Breakfast, an Iowa Prayer Breakfast Student Seminar will be held on Wednesday, March 27 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at the Sheslow Auditorium, Drake University, 2507 University Ave., Des Moines.  There is no cost for the student event.  Students are asked to RSVP by March 25th to Dave Turnball atdturnball@fca.org or call 515-727-1868.  The keynote speaker will be Dr. Andy Bannister with comments from Dr. Ravi Zacharias.

Esteemed author and speaker Dr. Ravi Zacharias will be this year’s featured keynote speaker.  Well-versed in the disciplines of comparative religions, cults, and philosophy, Dr. Zacharias has delivered addresses at the White House and Pentagon.  Key leaders, governors, and congressional members regularly seek his insight on cultural and worldview issues.  Dr. Zacharias is the host of both international radio and television programs.  For more information on Ravi Zacharias, go to www.rzim.org.  At the Iowa Prayer Breakfast, his topic of discussion will be “Lessons from History:  A Tale of Two Men,” based on 2 Kings, chapters 21 and 22.
