joni-ernst(Red Oak, IA) Joni Ernst, Republican candidate for the United States Senate, is pleased to announce that she has raised $252,067.45 from over 500 donors for her first fundraising quarter of 2013.

Joni, running as a mother, soldier and a conservative, showed strength in both her national and Iowa-based fundraising efforts – as evidenced by the nearly 50/50 split between funds raised in Iowa and those raised nationwide.

There is an equally strong level of support for Joni’s candidacy among the grassroots community – with an impressive 334 donors contributing $100 or less.

The strong support for Joni from a diverse range of donors is evidence that the path for Republicans to retake the U.S. Senate runs through Iowa, and there is a growing recognition across the country that Joni Ernst is the candidate best equipped to defeat Bruce Braley in November 2014.

“I am incredibly thankful to those who have been so generous with their support over the last several weeks. Each and every contribution, no matter the amount, helps my campaign to continue to grow in momentum. I am excited to continue traveling the state and meeting with voters to share my vision of taking our shared Iowa values to Washington, D.C.,” said Ernst.
